Specialists from Oettinger GmbH in action<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The dismantling of the heavy steel structure of the main grandstand of the Karlsruhe Wildpark Stadium was taken over by the Oettinger Group.\u00a0The group of companies, based in Malsch near Karlsruhe, specializes in demolition work and remediation of pollutants, as well as in underground works, roads, petrol stations and earthworks. In addition, an own recycling plant is part of the Group\u2019s portfolio. The Oettinger Group is active throughout Germany and is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.<\/p>\n

Already in autumn 2018, the city of Karlsruhe and the Karlsruhe SC reached an agreement on the demolition and reconstruction of the Wildparkstadion, which was built in 1955, as a football stadium and home of the second division team.<\/p>\n

The tasks of the Oettinger Group included the dismantling of the grandstand of the KSC stadium with 24,000 m\u00b3 of enclosed space and a height of 21 meters, as well as large-scale soil remediation.<\/p>\n

In addition to the KMC 600 Longfront, the CAT 374 as well as 4 other large excavators, a screening plant and a crushing plant are in operation, which are operated by trained and highly qualified personnel.<\/p>\n

On 12 November 2020, the dismantling of the main grandstand, which was built in 1993, began. A nostalgic day for the fans and members of the club. As a preliminary measure, the roof insulation was first dismantled using the KMC 600 and a gutter unit to meet the ambitious schedule.<\/p>\n

In the course of the gutting measures, 300 tons of various pollutants, in particular KMF, were professionally dismantled and made available for disposal.<\/p>\n

The construction work was further complicated by the fact that the construction or dismantling work had to take place during the running of the game and especially the \u201cgreen\u201d was not allowed to be damaged. The renovation measures were therefore carried out in stages.<\/p>\n

A total of approx. 6,000 m\u00b3 of concrete, approx. 1,020 m\u00b3 of masonry and approx. 1,100 t of steel are to be dismantled and at least 15,000 t of earth are to be moved.<\/p>\n

In particular, the solid steel beams have to be fired at an airy height, since even 10 tons of scrap shears cannot cope with the sometimes extremely solid steel beams. The beams, which are separated to a transport size, are then recycled.<\/p>\n

The complete demolition and new construction measures should be completed by summer 2022. All in all, the Oettinger Group once again presents itself as an expert full-service provider that solves technical challenges during the conversion measures in the interest of its customers – so that something new can be created!<\/p>\n
