Demolition of a highway bridge on the A6 near Rohr<\/strong><\/p>\n

It had to be done quickly. That’s why the two teams from our member company Aktiv Service KG were faced with night shifts near Nuremberg in mid-April. 1,000 m\u00b3 of concrete in the form of a highway bridge had to make way. The 80-year-old bridge was demolished from Friday morning to Sunday night. After the pollutants have been removed, the 1.60 m thick walls, the bridge sections and the foundations were chiseled and crushed. Various construction machines were used for this: HIDROMEK MK 490 and 300, CAT 336D, 336 F and 330 F as well as Volvo A30 dumpers and L110G wheel loaders.<\/p>\n

70 dumper loads of concrete were driven to a storage site nearby and recycled and reinstalled onsite.<\/p>\n

The road under the bridge was closed to through traffic. Aktiv Service KG decided to work night shifts so as not to extend the allotted time.<\/p>\n

The way is now clear for the widening of the highway.<\/p>\n
