Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear readers, Since September 2024, preparations have been underway for what will be the last demolition of a high-rise building in the large Duisburg housing estate “Wohnpark Hochheide”. On Sunday, 27 July 2025, the time has finally come. The little “White Giant” will disappear from the cityscape. Anyone who wants to watch the blast can do so on WDR television in the special programme “Lokalzeit extra” starting at 11:30 a.m. The DA will provide comprehensive follow-up coverage on its channels.
