Dear Sir or Madam, dear readers,
in our industry, many discussions understandably revolve around Germany: regulations, approvals, enforcement, markets, and the daily friction in projects. That matters — but it’s not the whole world. Because if you only look at your own jobsite, you can miss solutions that are already working elsewhere. Looking beyond our borders can inspire, provide perspective, and sometimes even reassure: many challenges are international — and so are many of the answers.
That is precisely why this newsletter focuses on “Demolition International.” Examples from Belgium, Norway, and the USA show how differently selective dismantling, urban mining, or reuse are organized — and what we can take from that for our own practice: from clear requirements and pragmatic standards to new technical approaches.
And because exchange has the greatest impact when it happens in person, we are particularly pleased to welcome guests from abroad to FACHTAGUNG ABBRUCH. Their perspectives and experience broaden the discussion — and often make it much more tangible. To ensure that all international participants can follow and enjoy the presentations without restrictions, we will provide simultaneous interpretation into English at the conference.
We wish you an enjoyable read.
